If you’d like an upclose view of today’s devastating earthquake in Chile — more than a dozen times as powerful as the one that struck Haiti earlier this year — you can put your knowledge of Spanish to use by reading or watching the country’s Spanish-language news media. A few hours after the quake, many of the media remained knocked out of operation, but those that remain paint a picture of widespread destruction.
